John Doerr, a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, has played a key role in the creation of such high-tech companies as Compaq, Intuit, Macromedia, Netscape, Sun Microsystems, Amazon, and Symantec. Doerr was the founding CEO of Silicon Compilers and serves on the boards of Intuit, Amazon, Sun Microsystems, Google, and others.
